UTICA, NY – On Saturday, March 29, 2025, MMRI will hold its second annual gala to raise awareness and support for its groundbreaking medical research. The event will take place at the Fort Schuyler Club in Utica, New York, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The 1958 Gala, presented by The Fountainhead Group, Adirondack Bank and MMRI’s Board of Directors, will be an unforgettable evening to celebrate MMRI’s innovative medical breakthroughs in heart disease, diabetes, autism, lupus and more. It promises to bring guests on an immersive journey into the future of medical research at MMRI.

“MMRI’s research is making a real difference in people’s lives right here in our community,” said Robert Hewson, DPM, co-chair of the 1958 gala and MMRI board president. “This gala is a celebration of the incredible work being done at MMRI and a call to action for all of us to support and invest in the future of medical research and innovation.”

“MMRI is widely recognized worldwide for its groundbreaking research,” said Rocco Arcuri Sr., co-chair of the 1958 gala and president/CEO at Adirondack Bank. “However, few people in the Utica region are aware of its tremendous impact, accomplishments and contributions to the Mohawk Valley. Not only is MMRI bringing expert scientists to live and work in our community, but it’s also making life-changing medical discoveries in our own backyard.”

“Last year’s inaugural gala hosted more than 250 guests and was the talk of the town,” said Jackie Romano, co-chair of the 1958 gala. “Thanks to our generous sponsors and attendees, we raised more than $180,000 for life-changing medical research right here in our community. Please come out once again for this one-of-a-kind evening in support of this remarkable cause. Help us exceed our fundraising goal.”

The elegant evening will feature custom-crafted cocktails, exquisite cuisine and a live DJ performance as guests mingle amongst distinguished pioneers of science. Guests are encouraged to follow MMRI’s social media pages (linked below) for a sneak peek of the event.

Tickets are $250 per person and can be purchased at mmri.edu/1958gala. Sponsorship opportunities are available and can also be found at mmri.edu/1958gala.
